Ms. Susan Limisi serves as the Gender Coordinator for Fairtrade Africa (FTA) where she leads on gender equality and women empowerment. As the Gender Coordinator, she oversees programmes that empower women farmers and workers across the Agriculture value chain in 33 countries in Africa and Middle East.
Ms. Susan possesses over 10 years of gender experience in governance, education, Natural Resource Management, WASH and Resilience in Kenya and in the Fragile States. As a Monitoring & learning Coordinator, she has spearheaded Evaluations, Assessments and Gender mainstreaming for CARE International Somalia. Her diverse skill set was an asset when implementing peacebuilding and transformational conflict projects in the complex contexts of the informal settlements in the Northern part of Kenya and Somalia thus impacting lives positively.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Education Psychology. She is an Associate Member of Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association.
